About Me

Questions

Why did you join this class?

I joined this class because I had heard great things about it, and have known Mr. Muench my whole life, and it seemed like a fun class to take.

What do you hope to gain from taking this class?

I took photography last semester and now want to know more about cameras. I also have attended the Gawlik Awards for a couple years and have been inspired to make movies.

What do you know about cinematography?

I only know the basics via iMovie. I haven't made a full movie before, but I have edited videos for lots of projects for school and really enjoyed it, except for the creative limits.

What do you want to know about cinematography?

I would like to learn how to use the cameras and how to edit with the more advanced software we have access to, and I would like to learn as much as I can about how making a movie or film works.

What type of films would you like to make?

I would like to make whatever movies I can as long as I am learning, but I guess Action sports and comedy films would be fun to try.

What are three of your favorite movies?-embed trailers or screen shots and explain why you enjoy these films.

-Note to Self; I really liked this movie because it made me laugh, cry, and think. I thought at the time I watched it that it was very well done, appealing to some things that everybody deals with, while still being interesting to watch.

-Miracle; I love this movie. As a hockey player, it gets me super pumped up to play, and besides that, it really tells the story well. The story is told in a way that gets you close enough with the players to sympathize, while keeping you far enough away so you don't get sucked into the side plots. It also sticks to the actual story relatively well, and even though almost all sports movies have the same plot and ending, this one manages to stay above the rest.

-Austin Powers; This is one of my favorite movies and both of the sequels are awesome too. I watched James Bond movies before seeing this, and that made it that much funnier when I watched it. The humor in the movie is very quick and very funny. You have to be paying attention or you will miss many of the jokes, and I like that it throws references at James Bond, while still being its own movie.

What is your favorite movie genre?

My favorite movie genre is hard to say, but I would probably have to go with comedy. I do like horror, action, and sports movies as well.

What motivates you to work hard?

I want to succeed later in life, and have a comfortable life to provide for my family, and I understand that that starts now, so when I feel unmotivated, I focus on that.

What are five concerns that you have now in your life?

I want to get good grades. I want to make varsity lacrosse. I want to make varsity soccer. I want to get into a good college. I want to make a Gawlik film

What was your favorite subject in school? Why?

Photography was a lot of fun this past semester, and it continues into this semester. I really enjoy working with the camera and finding a new way to express myself. I am also enjoying the creativity that I am given.

What are the three words that best describe you?

Committed, Honest, Leader

Biggest Character turn-off for you? (ex. I hate when people are late)

The biggest character turn-off for me is when people try too hard to be something they aren't to impress somebody.
